You only need to use the blue to treat acute symptoms unless you have been told to use before your brown inhaler.

You only need to use your blue inhaler when you require it.i e chest tightness. Wheeze etc.. The old advice years ago was to use it before your preventer inhaler to open your airways.

Ok thank you everyone but I found it better trying using the blue first then 10mins after having preventer before I went on school run as it cold air that starts me off

Typically users of Preventer Inhalers are using the Preventer Inhaler once or twice a day. Blue Rescue Inhalers are only supposed to be used as sparingly as possible. If your Preventer Inhaler Prescription requires you to use it twice a day and you also start taking your Rescue Inhaler before each dose of Preventer, you'll be using your Rescue Inhaler twice a day too. You really ought to check with your GP as to whether that is safe / necessary, as it sounds like 'very high' usage of a Rescue Inhaler unless your GP has pre-approved that amount of daily Rescue Medication due to the severity of your condition, or possibly for a short period of exacerbation.
