My GP has written to me - I am overdue for an appointment ref my asthma.
To be honest it is unlikely I will bother - my GP has referred me to an ENT specialist and back to my respitory specialist- they pretty much admitted there was little else they could do for me the last time I went. So they may as well use the appointment for somebody else.

When was then, ast time you went? Things could have changed and some new or more tests may help. It is up to you and I do know how you feel sometimes it is easier not to bother than be told the same thing over again.
You need to go they have to keep.you annual asthma record up to date . I am under 2 asthma specialist but still see asthma nurse it is very quick just ticking the boxes but it is what allows you to get flu jab gives them certain funding I think I see diabetic nurse as well but under the hospital team just keeps their records up to date hope this helps xxx
Why don't you phone Practice nurse and see what she says? It is good to keep links rather than appear on records as not attending/ accepting invitations
I have similar issues; asthma nurse appointments at my local surgery do seem a 'paper exercise' as I'm managed by my local hospital and a difficult asthma clinic. I don't go anymore but the GP just records the info required when I go for some other reason! I also find it annoying as the surgery get paid for these checks regardless of the quality of the appointment and advice given!
