Crackling chest

Went to docs yesterday with cracking chest and put me on steroid inhaler, i have been walking around like at work and the supermarket and have felt really out of breath and i am feel like i am hitting a brick wall with my breathing literally and yes i know this is a strange analogy not quite sure what to do

You poor thing, I hope you start to feel better soon.

Sounds horrible. If the inhaled steroid doesn't kick in soon go back and ask for something else.

You need time to relax and let the stuff work. The more worried you get about it the worse it feels. If you need a day off work, you should take it. Order stuff online from the supermarket. If you have a blue 'rescue' inhaler use it occasionally to help you breathe more easily. Rest. Give it 2 or 3 days and if you don't feel right, go back to the Doctor.

Now for an update, been back to the docs today and now put me on sere vent as crackles all over chest also put me on montelukast. has anybody been on this and what are your reactions if any to the drug

I have been on montelukast for 3 years. I did have a slight hand tremor to begin with but it quickly subsided. Otherwise have been fine on it 10mg every night.
