Taken first hydrocortisone

I have taken my first 10mg hydrocortisone tablet at 6am on Monday 5th October and will take 5mg hydrocortisone at 6pm this evening.

Is no one else been changed from prednisolone to hydrocortisone?

No I'm on prednisone every day and I have hydrocortisone IV at London hospital every two months hope it helps u

I am on Prednisolone but have not had hydrocortisone.

Just out of interest why have they changed you to hydro? I'm on pred daily and I increase that when I get infection etc.

The GP has been trying to get me off prednisolone for months and in the end he wrote to an endocrinologist to ask for advice. The endocrinologist has told GP to change me to hydrocortisone then refer me to see the endocrinologist at next available appointment. So to be honest until I see endocrinologist I am not sure.

Day 4 of hydrocortisone and I have a temperature and am very sleepy and achy. Also quite puffy in face and puffy head feeling.

Back to gp for review tomorrow.
