Hey

I'd be careful buying anything online. As far as I'm aware there is no generic Seretide/Advair that is currently approved in a DPI format. Sereflo is a generic MDI format of Seretide/Advair but not sure if it is available in Canada :/

Like I say though be really careful. Especially if the site flashes around offers of 'low price Viagra' or anything like that. It sounds silly but they are almost always fraudulent. You might get a really out-of-date inhaler, an empty inhaler, or even an inhaler filled with entirely the wrong medicine. The container could be faulty as well.

I can't comment on your situation as I live in the UK and despite its fallbacks (no pond hockey for me) I don't have to pay co-pays or any of that. If you're struggling, I've heard of Needymeds which is a website but I'm not sure if it caters to people from Canada or just the USA. You can also chat to your pharmacist or doctor or nurse because there are some really good places which can help with prescription costs, and loads of people with chronic conditions struggle to keep on top of the money so as any medical professional would tell you as well it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Good luck and if you have any more questions, I'm right here :P

Having had a look now, I really wouldn't trust them. Not with my lungs at any rate. They call it 'Generic Advair', but give you a picture of actual Advair from GSK (if you look at the smaller print on the photo it says 'Glaxo operations'), so it isn't a photo of the supposed product.

Secondly, it tells you in the description that there is currently no FDA-approved generic for Advair, yet they are trying to sell you one. That's red lights right there.

Thirdly, they tell you that the packaging and aesthetic of the product may look different from what you get at your pharmacy. That should never happen, unless their stock is way way too old to be sold at all, or they have tampered with it, or otherwise are not actually selling you what they tell you they are selling you.

I wouldn't trust this place. I am honestly genuinely sorry because from my own research I know that co-pays make for hellishly expensive meds. But like I said in my former comment, it isn't just people on low incomes who struggle to pay for prescriptions and even people with modestly high incomes struggle with the costs of prescriptions for Asthma. Advair is an expensive med (although its English counterpart, Seretide, is one of the things I owe my current control to) but if it's necessary for you (ie you can't achieve the same level of control on a cheaper inhaler) then there is a lot of help out there. Just say to your nurse or doc "hey, these meds are really expensive. Is there anything that can be done about that?"

You don't even have to mention help. You just have to get it :)

(Btw if I've got your situation totally wrong then sorry :o but I hope some of what I've said is helpful!)
