Echinacea and asthma

Hi I am really new to this forum although have been asthmatic since childhood. My asthma has got considerably worse since a chest infection over Christmas. I am on Fostair now. This week I took echinacea as I felt another cold coming on - I teach in a college so germs are a plenty - and my chest is considerably tighter since. I am wondering if anybody else has had experience of this or am I just making a connection that isn't there?

Obviously the more stressed i get about it, the tighter my chest feels.

Any help would be brilliant thank you every so much
