Asthma attack from washing power

Hi, does anyone have any experience with washing powers causing asthma attacks. My elderly parents washer was broken and they sent their bedding to the laundry last night and my father woke up after about an house in bed with a severe asthma attack -which was very scary - we can't find any other reason for this and keen to understand if anyone else has had a similar experience ? Normally my mother uses hypo allergenic detergent, but grateful for any advice or guidance. Thank you

Hi

I find I can only use some washing powders as other give me asthma attacks, Not fun if we are going away.

Normally take my own bedding with us.

I also get asthma attacks from cleaning products. So there must be somthing in them.
