Inhaler use by date?

Hi Everyone

I'm new to asthma, and I have a question. Do asthma inhalers have a use by date?

I only ask because my school nurse told me I needed to make sure that the spare inhaler that I keep in the health centre is in date at all times. Sorry I am aware that this sounds very stupid question.

yeah, they do, most of them last ages though (one of mine needs to be kept in the fridge which only lasts three months but thats not common!) i dont think it would do you much harm if it was out of date, just doubt it would do much good!!

Agreeing with Soph - they just become ineffective, so yes, you need to make sure the one the school nurse has stays in date.
