I've heard that it can be normal to get shakes with Ventolin. However I've barely touch it atm, once a day atm, due to dealing with mould patch in my bedroom.
However I'm also taking Mebeverine for suspected IBS.
Would taking such a low dose of Ventolin cause shakes? Or is it is caused by the IBS med?

It is quite ""normal"" to shake with ventolin - i do. I can shake even after 1 puff other times i can take 2 puffs and it does not bother me at all no shakes. the medication you are taking for your IBS is it self prescribed or is it from the doctor. I presume he knows your are asthmatic and are taking ventolin?? as well as this other medicine. If you are concerned you can always call OOH GP and ask them to call you back. Let me know

The IBS Med's are from a doctor. She did know I was asthmatic, as she offered me a flu jab (had it in Novemeber) I'm waiting on blood test result's, which will be this Wednesday or a week on Wednesday (not to sure). Depending on the result's I will have to go back at any rate.
This is the 1st time I got the shakes, so wasn't to sure if it was the ventolin, taking the IBS med's (no mention of shakes in the side effects) and/or a combination of both. As the shakes only started the day after I started taking the IBS Med's

Ive taken mebeverine for ibs in the past and was fine on it but everyone has different reactions to meds so I'd say its worth speaking to your gp about it.

Yes I am, but it's, only 200mcg 2puff's. I don't really get the shakes, after taking a preventer.
I'm not due to have another review till about April. So might have to consider having another one earlier. If the shakes continue.
I definitely get shakes from ventolin.
In my case i have a mild familial tremour in my hands that worssns with ventolin. I believe it has something to do with the fact that ventolin is a beta antagonist. One of the treatments for familiar tremour is a beta blocker, i.e. drugs that reduce the impact of adrenalin and other chemicals your body spews in response to stress. Ventolin, on the other hand, is a beta antagonist, so it is meant to enhance the effect of of stress hormones. Thus if you have a pre-existing propensity to tremour, a beta antagonist like ventolin, will likely increase it.
In my experience, I've noticed that the tremour also can worsen due to asthma itself sometimes and not the ventolin - I assume that is due to either tiredness from trouble breathing or from whatever natural adrenalin accompanies flare ups. In that case, ventolin has the opposite effect - it reduces the tremour. I imagine that is because ventolin makes the bronchial tubes relax and stop spasming (sp?). Thus the body spews less stress hormones and therefore there are less chemicals around to stimulate the tremour.
Being on a long acting reliever might make you a little more likely to suffer the shakes when you take ventolin. The shakes I get from ventolin wear off pretty quickly though, although depends how many puffs I've taken.
200mcg of long acting reliever is a lot to take every day. Salmeterol in Seretide/Serevent has a max dose of 100mcg a day (I have 200mcg per day (which gives me very mild shakes) after being uncontrolled for a long time, but this is pretty unusual I think)
