We have started to notice Thomas's teeth are starting to look a little yellow. I make him have a drink (he doesnt get the rinse idea yet and refuses to spit it out) and brush his teeth straight after doing his inhalers. I don't know what more I can do. I am so disappointed he's not even 3!
Anyone else find this or have any ideas what more I can do?

hi yes my son is 4 and his teeth and breath seem to have changed since he was put on seretide 50 evohaler he has his asthma review this wednesday so will ask his nurse and will get back to you with any info x
Unfortunately changes in teeth colour are a side effect of inheld steroids or other preventers. But i read that this usually improves after teeth brushing. Does he sue a spacer as this would make the problem less likely. Other than that not sure what can be done?

Yes he uses either an aerochamber plus with the mask most of the time and we occasionally use the volumatic with face mask. We used to use the volumatic more but his Nedocromil inhaler he started in november doesn't fit on that one so use it less now.
I am going to try speak to the asthma nurse tomorrow make sure I am doing everything I can. He is on a lot of medications - seretide 125, Nedocromil, ventolin, montelukast and flixonase. He has also had quite a few courses of steroids and antibiotics lately.

he does use a spacer and i make sure he has a drink of water and i brush his teeth to make sure they are done properly x
Could it be more likely from the antibiotics as it is very common as a result of ABs. Do you know what one(s) he was on?
Recently thomas has been on Azithromyacin, amoxicillin and another one I can't remember the name of. X
