abg blood gas interpretation

it is me but dose haveing this done corse a loft of pain !

I'm a little confused by your title and the question!? (re the interpretation bit)

But yes, they do cause a bit of pain depending on how they are done and how many times you have be stabbed in one area!!

Yes they are painfull. Also it depends on how skilled the person is who is doing the test. If you are around the beginning of August or January do not let a newly qualified doctor do one...

I agree they can be extremely painful if done by someone who does not know what they are doing.

More than once I've had to have.them re done as they didn't get arterial blood

I hate having them done and need lie down as

make me pass out but had one done last Monday by a lovely nurse and I never felt a thing but stlll went light headed thinking about it

but dont think it will bother me as much next time.xxx

results came back.boarder line for oxygen and sats were 91 but started going back up before left AnE .
