Asthma nurse/GP training

Hello,

Interested in what training there is in different regions. Some practices seem to have people with interest but no particular training or experience?!

not the gp practice, but in the hosp - children, not adult.

the asthma nurse specialist (and allergy) where i used to work in the hospital do courses in asthma such as masters/ degree etc in asthma and of course are required to do yearly updates to keep skills and knowledge current. on top of previous experience ...

she is fantastic. i used to work in the clinic a lot with her and do a lot of teaching on asthma as well as update the ward asthma resource folder before moving to my current post last october. i have done a diploma in respiratory management in paeds as well as few courses on asthma and HDU care, and of course courses related to my nursing and resus teaching/ training.

not sure bout gp training sorry

Hi the National Respiratory Training Centre in Warwick run lots of different course,did a distance learning diploma which I found very helpful.Good luck
