Seritide (Any one on it apart from me)

Is any one on the enhaler called seritide thats the purple inhaler!!!!

You will find lots of people are...most are on symbicort or seretide.

I was on Seretide but couldnt stop coughing so ended up with the two ingredients separately. If you post on the Medical board, you may get more replies, as that seems to be where this stuff goes now... a bit confusing!

Me too!!! I'm on seretide, have been for about 5 weeks now.

I myself dont take asthma meds as i'm not asthmatic, but my son Shane, whos 7, has been on seretide for about 18 months now, recently increased from 50 to 125 in oct 05. He was on the seperates b4 and seems to be ok with the combi *touches wood* so far apart from the increase.

Im also on seretide 500 twice a day, was on a lower dose for a few years but have been put on 500 a few months ago and it has made some improvement.

still need the good old Ventolin though a few times a day.

I have been on seritide 500 for 2 months now, after changing from my old inhalers, it is much better.

yes Aimi, I guess you could say that! The other alternative is symbicort

I use Seretide 125... have used it for approx 6 months now.. before that I was on Seretide 50 for about a year...

Use the Reliever inhaler about 3 times a week

Guess I'm in the ""club""!

I have been on Seretide 250 since being diagnosed with Asthma in January it seems to do the trick for me although Im still geeting my medication sorted out, my GP is threatening to cut it to Sereteide 125 but I dont want hm to. My wife is also on Seretide 125 For about six months and it works for her. I particularly like the counter on the inhaler.

HAVE YOU BEEN TOLD TO USE THIS WITH YOUR OTHER INHALER I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO USE IT WITH SABUTOMOL IF I HAVE AN ATTACK

You should not use Seretide when you are having an attack. Seretide comprises of a protector and a preventer and will not have any effect on an attack. It should be used twice a day (the usual dose - although some people are told to use it more often) and will not work in the same way as Ventolin.

i was on seretide and it seemed to b working 4 me but then i had trouble sleeping so my asthma nurse put me on symbicort that works fine (when i remember to take it) lol im new here but hi 2 every1

Yes I am on this too. Seems to be an improvement on singles.
