I had an attack today whilst out it took 8 puffs of my reliver to calm it down. I know a few things triggered this attack. I dont have a spacer and was just using my reliver as i was told by my gp. I had to rest for a while afterwards but im still having the tightness in my chest. Im not sure what to do and if i can have more of my reliver

Unsure
8 Puffs and no relief sounds like the reliever is not working. Go to the doctor or hospital before it gets worse. Asthma attacks can turn badly without warning. I went to the hospital with what I would consider a much milder asthma attack than most that I've gone to the hospital for in the past and I arrived at the hospital in respiratory arrest, unconscious for three days and hooked up to a respirator. It's not worth it.
ok well am going to try some more reliver. But im keeping my eye on it. My asthma is moderate but not under control so im getting use to attacks
Definately try getting a spacer from your doctors. They are on prescription, don't know if pharmacies can sell them too maybe? Have you got an action plan or seen an asthma nurse at GPs?
i have no action plan. I saw the dr at the gps yesterday and he made me an appointment to see the asthma nurse on the 19th april. So quite a while till it

You sound a bit like me!
As I originally posted - I saw the GP yesterday & was told to take 2 puffs of my Salamol inhaler every 2 hours, which I've been doing, but I still feel so very ill, - & no improvement at all.
Feeling very frustrated, thinking a trip to A&E may be on the cards, but I'm trying to hang on to see the Asthma Nurse tomorrow afternoon.
Do hope you get it sorted & start to feel better!
yeah i know how that feels im not going to a&e untill im on my last legs
