hi tai chi definatley can help asthma its all about the breathing.my hubby is a martial art instructor and he said for you to look on the kung foo international website if your interested to find a venue near you.i myself have studied tai chi and its a great stress buster too.
Tai Chi
If anyone out there is thinking about starting Tai Chi I would recommend it!
How to describe it?
Meditation in motion is not bad.
Tai Chi is about control and balence and since I started 3 years ago I have avoided hospitals vistits, my asthma still troubles me but I do find that it has helped me mentally and phyically to cope and control my reactions especailly durin attacks.
I enjoy that Tai Chi has given me back an avenue to exercise and sports and out of all the alternative therapies I have tried - Tai Chi is the most rewarding.

I too can vouch that Tai Chi can help enormously with asthma. I took this up years ago in my early twenties, and whilst I don't really practise it now I still use some of the breathing techniqes when on long seaside walks to great benefit - especially when peak flow has been a little low!!

Yes... Tai Chi and all and any exercise that gets you listening to your body and relax helps immensely...
I also meditate and have for years used a type of self hypnosis as a means to stop/control/take charge of pain.
Hope you all keep well and ... Relax....!
