Electronic cigarettes

Has anyone used electronic cigarettes, what were your experiences? Was diagnosed with asthma last year and gave up cigarettes for two months and symptoms improved dramatically but have relapsed.

Hi, I'm giving up too. I can totally empathise with your relapse. It is so hard. I haven't used the electronic ones personally, a friend of mine does and for her they work very well. In the past I used patches which I found a waste of time for me. I'm currently using the gum which is helping a lot. I have thought about these but knowing me I would puff away like no tomorrow on them and be forever charging them and buying new tips! They wouldn't work for me. There certainly is no harm in trying.

Good luck with giving up and well done for getting this far, don't be hard on yourself for a relapse. Give up one ciggy at a time!

All the best

Emma

Thanks Emma, good luck with giving up. Does your friend buy their E-cigs online or over the counter?

Many thanks.

I'm not entirely sure I imagine it is via the internet, I've not seen any in the shops?

I agree don't be hard on yourself, it takes so long to get there, you will make it, we believe in you, i stopped smoking in sept 2010, i used patches they worked for me, its finding what you are happy with i tried stopping over the years about 10 times, i know someone who used electronic cig and they r fine, however much you use it doesn't matter its better than a fag, you will do it take care x

Hi, never heard of electronic cigs.

I used the niquitn lozenges.

I had tried several times over the years to stop smoking.

I found the lozenges helped me pack the cigs in.

I had previously tried the gum, but hated the taste & chewing it made me feel a bit sick.

Lozenges taste great.

You need willpower the same as you do whenever you pack in.

Its worth it though :)

Good luck, i hope you manage.
