god why does everyting on here always have to be so bloody dramatic, can we not all just accpet that everyone is different and different docs do things in different ways...

dont think im gonna bother comng on here anymore, because just recently lots of things have been really annoying me...

surely at the end of the day we all have asthma weather it be mild or brittle a place like this should be for support not to cause arguements...and it seems like sometimes if a non brittle asks a geuine question they get jumped on for no apparent reason

please feel free to remove this if it isnt approrpriate etc

but thats just my thoughts atm

Emma

I'm gonna agree with Emz on this one. The boards lately are just scaring me. This is meant to be a place for people with asthma to come for support and guidance occasionally. They are turning into a battleground. Its like something u would see in a playground.

Donna, I dont know your current situation, But I know that people did get worried by your post. Its all confusing me, But I hate seeing the boards getting tensed up, and It's obvious.

I'm gonna stay away for a while, Till things calm down abit.

As Emz said, feel free to remove this if the mods see fit.

I'm really concerned that people feel they need to stay away from the boards.

Asthma affects everyone differently having mild asthma diagnosed as an adult can have a larger psychological impact on someones life than having brittle asthma all my life has had on me.

Yes Brittle asthma is scary, it doesn't fit the textbook but any type of asthma attck is frightening if you are the person suffering it regardless of the label you have been given.

I don't want to get involved with rights wrongs judging anyone etc.

I had been told i had brittle asthma for 30 years when in fact i don't and i have managed to get control of my condition after lots of tests at RBH and it is REALLY IMPORTANT that people know that there is hope even for those who have had life threatening attacks. It is also important to know that brittle asthma is the EXTREME of the scale and my three children all live a normal happy life with so called normal asthma just carrying their ventolin with them.

This may be completely missing the indended point of this post but for most people in the population asthma life is not as dramatic as for a lot of the posters on here, which is why they are not here they are off leading perfectly normal lives and only appear on Asthma UK when they need support or advice!
