Hi, I don't know about Fostair but if the brown's not working how are you getting away with not using the blue? Are you saving it up for 'emergencies' and not taking it for anything 'less'? Because you should use it whenever you get SOB and keep on using it till it works - but obviously if it's not working after multiple puffs then get help. But you definitely shouldn't feel you can only use it if you're really really short of breath!

just to clarify, i have been using the brown but my nurse thinks my symptoms could be better controlled than they are so wants to try the pink, i have been suffering with throat infections and thrush in my mouth , so the pink should help with this as the sterode is a lot finer, i dont need to use blue so much now as the weather is improvin and i try to aviod anything that will effect my asthma as much as i can, the blue makes me feel really dizzy so its all good for me, but if i need it i will use it, i dont try to aviod using it i just dont think i need it.

Ah fair enough, makes sense then. G;ad you've been able to avoid needing blue, but have you told the nurse about feeling dizzy with it? You don't want to be put off using it when you do need it becaue it makes you dizzy (plus you don't want to start needing it a lot then have to feel dizzy).

I'd definitely tell the nurse next time you see her - there are alternatives to Ventolin you can try and they should know anyway that it has that effect on you.
