Steriods. anyone ever had them ? well i can tell you there disgusting !!! Well ive been told if i have two asthma attacks between 6 months, i will have to take them for life. resultinng in injections for lif when im older 1 anyone had the same ??

when you get a big flair up and pf not good and taking lots of reliever and its not helping , asthma attack ,Usually steroids are given to you by the hospital and AnE or by your doctor if he can see your asthma is not good and could have a chest infection so usually you get antibs also.

Steroids are only given for a short while like a week to ten days and if a longer course 3 weeks etc you

have to be weaned off them slowly.

Some asthmatics need to take them long term but their asthma is usually brittle or severe and on a daily matinance dose according to how bad they are and as they cause long term side effects they are only given long term if their is no other option .
