Am very happy that today I have finished my 7 day course of prednisolone! 5 hours sleep a night when having to get up for work is not fun but feeling much better even if I'm not sure what day it is!

Steriods!
Gosh you managed to get a full 5 hours sleep on steroids! Well done I usually get none after the first couple of days! LOL. Still joking aside, you must be pleased to be off the "Devils tic tacs". Keep well.
YAY!!!! well done Helen for getting over this bad patch

At the moment I am so when it's my turn to feel a tiny bit rubbish it will be your turn to tell me off lol x
So glad, you are feeling better , it's be a rough and scary time for you . I'm still.cuting down on my steriod been on 50 mg for 4 weeks and now down to 40mg - For a further week, , hoping they will reduce again tom ,I need sleep 😴😴😴😴
Thank you! Aww no that is a lot and for a very long time! Are you starting to feel better now though? I know no sleep makes you feel worse I think! Xx
Getting there , but so glad you are feeling better , I am just ending my 5th week in hospital so it will be a slow reduction of 5mg every 5 days till I reach 15 mg which I am always on , take care and stay well . Xx
I feel your pain too! I have been on 40mg since the first of January and every time we tried to reduce down get to 20mg and every thing flares back up. Currently on 30mg for the for seeable future. I cannot remember what a goodnights sleep is like!
Aww bless you. I did not know you could take them constantly, I would get so many side effects! Thank you, take care of yourself too. I hope you are out of hospital soon xx
Ahh thank you , was it you that was skiing about repeated infections etc - may be worth trying to get your Igg levels checked as it becoming more and more common - but not easily picked up .
Yes I've been on constant Steriods now since 1995 - and now I'll never get off then because my body has stopped making its own , but it controls my asthma ( most of the time so I'm ok with that ) ☺️ Take care
Aww wow bless you, I'm glad it controls your asthma though that's a good sign that they work yes it was me, I've had repeated sinus/chest infections for past 3/4 years now. Really gets me down some days but try not to let it get to me too much as I know there are people a lot worse off than me! Yeah I'll ask my doctors about them llg tests xx
I'm very envious of you. I miss the days when I could get 5 hours sleep. Been on steroids for over a decade. I survive on a couple of hours a night. Pleased your off your steroids and feeling better though. ☺ x
Aww no do you take any sleeping tablets alongside them too? I nearly tried some but was probably too tired to remember to get any in the end! Thank you xx
No I try not to take sleeping pills as they make me fogger than usual😄 and don't always work. But I have some on stand by for if it gets too bad. But it's manageable. Luckily I'm getting older and they say you need less sleep lol xxx
I must admit kalms didn't work for me either ☺ . I hope it doesn't take you too long to get back into a good sleep routine. Xxx
Hi Helen..I'm glad you are feeling better, now you know the recipe for success :))) Actually I have breakfast really early like 5.30 or 6 am even a yoghurt so I can pop in my pred after a while I found that worked for me and I could sleep better with the usual nightime herbal tea. Take care xx
I was taking mine around that early anyway the time I was awake but still managed to keep me awake! I didn't try herbal night tea though so that sounds good! Thank you take care too xx
Ok it all helps ;)) Helen hope it does for you! Im keeping my fingers crossed for the appointment on the 8th., no point in worrying, Dad was 88 today so we had a nice party for him!! A good Sunday!!
Glad you are better. 5 hrs that would be my best sleep ever on or off the steroids!! Glad I seen do used to I function.
