Ventolin ran out this morning
Breathing dubious.
Rang GP, reception said ring prescription line. Prescription line is a voicemail that says scripts will be ready in 48 hours.
Have asked them to ring me back urgently. I hope they do.

aw no, nightmare! i'd ring gp reception back and explain, appologise lots and ask if someone could do it given how dangerous it'd be not to have it. Alternatively try the chemist, i.m sure they can give emergency supplies as long as its a current prescription which it is. Not sure but you might have to pay for it tho. Good luck xxx
Phew! The prescription manager rang me back, the script will be ready after 2. It never occurred to me I'd run out so quick - I've only had it a couple of weeks. I'm getting 2 prescribed, so that when the next one runs out I'll still have one to use while I'm sorting out a replacement.
In the mean time, I'm just putting up with symptoms. They said if I start to feel really unwell to go in and they will get me seen by someone.
It's awkward isn't it - with meds in tablet or liquid form it is easy to see when you're running out, but with the inhaler I didn't realise until I tried taking it and nothing came out.
Oh great, glad you managed to get sorted. Yeah I got told to always have one spare, so when you start your last one, you order a spare. But like you say, you don't know when it empty until its too late. I have an app for my phone (kindly done by someone on here) where you click a button every time you take a dose and it counts down so you know how much you have left. I've found this really helpful.
