Ebay?

Hey, I've looked on ebay they don't have any....

Try searching under say Nonin who make small SATs monitors.

Bex

Just looked under Nonin and nearly fell down when saw the price!!

How much are the Nonins going for - and what's your budget, Bronnies?

search.ebay.co.uk/nonin_W0Q...

i got my two from ebay

Bronnies, might be a stupid question but why do you want a SATs monitor?

Bex

I already have my own blood pressure machine as I have low blood pressure, and I want to keep an eye on my oxygen levels.

Bronnies I am not sure how helpful keeping an eye on your SATS is unless you are on oxygen. Asthmatics can have fabulous SATs and then literally nose dive in no time at all so using it as an indicator of how ill you are is not the greatest of ideas as I well know! There are many things that can effect your sats and you need to know what is OK for you, that should be planned with your resp team. It might be worth talking to your resp cons and specialist nurse about it before shelling out a small fortune.

Bex

I had a short term loan of one from my GP for a few weeks just to see what my sats were up to and if t was worth me buying one.

I discovered that for most of the time i was low range of normal then dropped when struggling (but not badly)

I then did a spectacular drop in resus therefore

conclusion:- sats monitor waste of money for me cons agreed with thatand as Bex said many asthmatics do fine then have a major drop before crisis point.

talk it through please before forking out.

Thanks for the advice. It's really helpful.
