Take it you mean Seretide. I've had that one for the last year or so.

Edit: as above.

Edit: For some reason best known to itself. My answer posted itself four times. D'oh! Sorry Gracie.

i have the purple seretide inhaler

I used to have the red Symbicort inhaler, which is the same idea as the purple Seretide (a combination of a long-acting reliever and steroid), but have since had my medications jiggled around a bit, so I'm no longer on it.

Why do you ask?

more people are being switched to the combination inhalers as it's easier for people to use and less error prone. personally I hate them and prefer the separate inhalers as it give you more freedom to up the steroid in times of need without upping the LABA component which has unwanted side effects.

i fell foul to a error from the doctor not knowing the differance between inhalers.

i asked for a sertide 500, but the doc, did not know about this inhaler, gave me a prescription for sertide 50, which looking on the internet is same as a blue ventolin, but in purple.

so always check.

My 7 yr old daughter is on a barrage of medication for her asthma, she too has the seretide inhaler aswell as the salbutamol, a nebuliser and has now been put on Montelukast Tablets after a recent stay in hospital with pneumonia.

I have Seretide too - 250/25
