confused about seretide dose

my cons has changed my seretide from the 250 evohaler 2 puffs twice a day to the 500 accuhaler 2 puffs twice a day. i have done a little reading and it seems that the 500 accuhaler dose should only be 1 puff? im a little confused?? do i need to go back to doc?? thanks. x

Do not worry, if your consultant has put you on that dose it is safe. Often consultants can put you on higher doses than the standard doses, quite a few of my consultants have done this with me.

I am also seretide 500 accuhaler 2 puffs twice daily.

How do you find the drug? im currently on serevent evohaler and the side effects are dreadful, headache, tight chest, can't sleep is this normal in the first few days? does it go and you get used to it? im tempted to tell my nurse to take me off this and put me on something else
