Flu Jabs. Are they any good?

Hi

Does anyone get effeted by the flu jabs?

I had a flu jab when I was first diagnossed with athma as I thought it would protect me, but within a matter of a week I came down with a chest infection I couldnt breath properly had flu so I was a mess. I refuse the jab for the last couple of years and have been fine apart from the odd cold but nothing major.

What I was wondering is is it just me being an odd bod or are there anyone else that have had the same problems?

i have had a bad reaction to one and still got actual flu and ended up tubed in itu, but other years have been fine, it doesnt protect u from chest infections just full blown influenza which is more rare but can kill which is why its better to have it. if its no good im sure the govenment would put the money to use somewhere else

Hiya ta for replying hun,

Yes it does protect you only from influenza.

I must of had a bad reaction to it and as I felt so poorly I refused to have the flu jab through fear of getting that bad again.

My uncle on the other hand has the flu jab and is really ill every time he has the jab.

I agree must be doing some good perhaps its just a few people with bad experiances

Presentation of the other flu thread is a bit strange - I initially thought I had a problem. But if you go to the other flu thread and scroll down some way you should see the messages appear.
