hi im new & need some advice please

Hi, I have an 8yr old who has asthma, he's just had an attack tonight & I noticed he had a rash afterwards, this is the second time Iv noticed he's got a rash after an attack. I was just wondering if this was common with young asthmatics?

Hello Kas, a warm welcome to you :)

I have not personally heard about a rash AFTER an attack, but i do get one on the underside of my arms sometimes that is followed by an attack.

where does the rash appear? what does it look/feel like? maybe your sons attacks are due to allergies?

The best thing would be to ask your doctor about it and tell them what you have told us here as we cannot offer medical advice im afraid!

EDIT: you should post this in the parents and carers section to see if it something child specific maybe?..

thankyou for your reply. I managed to find out from another forum that the rash is related to the attack, apparently they're blood spots that appear when the lungs are having to work to much
