Snowy Weds 20th July - update at 21:55

Alex asked me to pass on that the reducing pressures etc on the ventilator failed. It worked for a little while but then her sats etc dropped and so she is back on full assistance at the moment.

I know everyone is anxious and I'm sure everyone joins me in saying that we're thinking of them all.

Thanks for the update FeeJay. So sorry to hear it didn't work for long, crossed fingers they can try again soon and it holds - at least they're being cautious!

Alex - my thoughts are with you, snowy and Lewis. I so hope that next time they withdraw the support, that it proves easier.

Much love and heaps of prayers,

Thanks Feejay. Great pity. Doing in baby steps was good way, though. Just might have to wait a little while longer. My very best wishes to the family.

At least it worked for a little while. They need to support her until she is ready to try again. Alex try to get a bit of rest. My thoughts/prayers with you all.

Thanks

Thankyou FeeJay

Dont have anything to add really, except I got my hopes up too high :-(

Not sure what the next step is yet.

Alex

Sorry it didnt work out, dont get down hearted, maybe they will try again today. It was good that she managed for a short time, so thats something to hold on to. im sure the cons have got other ideas up their sleeves and things will work out.

Thanks for the update FeeJay.

Alex, I'm so sorry it didn't work as well as you'd hoped. Maybe it was too early. Hugs all round and lots of positive thoughts on their way to you all.

xx

Weaning of ventilation is a game of patience sometimes well thats certainly the case for some of the long term babies I nurse. I presume its same with Adults. Continue to hold you all in prayer Alex. Pray for positive steps today.
