shortness of breath on rest and exertion
its very cold tonight and if its not realising i would go to hospital before it goes full blown your probably delaying the attack with your inhalers. Ive done this on several occassions and woke up in the middle of the night with full blown attacks
Hope this helps

Please get help! don't faf around!
And please remember that we can't see you physically here and to give advice in an emergency situation is very unwise!
Call NHS Direct for Advice or NHS24 in Scotland etc!!! Or if that bad 999

Wot Kate sed, innit.
Usual schpiel follows, as per the T&Cs of the message boards:
Asthma UK's forums are for debate and discussion. Especially, they are not a suitable place to obtain medical advice in an emergency. If you feel unwell or need advice in an emergency situation, help should be obtained from one of the following sources:
* Your local GP service - either your surgery, or, if closed, the local out-of-hours centre; some regions also have NHS Walk-In Centres
* NHS Direct - a nurse-led advice line which can provide medical advice, or call an ambulance if needed - telephone 0845 46 47
* Dialling 999 for an emergency ambulance, or by going to your local Accident & Emergency department.
* Asthma UK's own guidance for what to do in an asthma attack
It may take a while for people to respond to posts - last night it was lucky that people were about to advise you. I hope you have been sorted out now.
