sudafed and lemsip
hi there
I cant take sudafed as allergic but lemsip is my saviour when im poorly with a cold. Its got paracetamol in it so be careful not to over do it but i personally find it fine to use!
Thing to remember is everyone is different but personally its fine with me. Not sure re sudafed - whether its just me or all asthmatics not sure.
Hope it helps. Take care and get better soon lv kat Xx
Hi Scottish MumHave stinky cough and cold at present myself, most cold remedies are not recommended for asthmatics, nor cough medicines that surpress the cough. Things like Lemsip are okay usually and I can take Sudafed, but if in doubt always enquire with a good pharmacist. Though the last time I did this, because of my extreme Asthma and they didn't know me they were too frightened to even sell me Smarties LOL.Katina

hi, i am fine with both, infact sudafed is a life saver around hayfever time stops me getting as many chest infections. but always check with pharmacist. i cannot take the branded verion of lemsip but i can take boots or superdrugs own version. Watch out though because these contain the same as in sudafed as well as parceptmol!
I think Lemsip is fine. I can't take Lemsip because it does make my chest worse for some reason but my mum takes it and she has asthma as well and she has no problems with it not sure whether its anything to do with asthma severity as she much more mild than me.
I was advised by the pharmacist not to take lemsip because of the decongestant factor withtin the product.
