Hoping you can help.
Does, or do you know if environmental tobacco smoke can worsen asthma symptoms, or indeed trigger an asthma attack.
I appreciate second hand smoke can have an effect, but despite research I cannot find much on ETS.

Yes, for me personally it is a nightmare.
I am very sensitive to tobacco smoke and can be walking down the road, get a whiff of it and my airways will tighten if I have not been taking my inhalers.
If I get into a car or go into a room where someone has smoked beforehand I will sense it even if it was a day or so before.
It is a disater for me! It sets my asthma off every time! And it takes a few days for my asthma to setlle down.
Plumie
always makes my chest tighten up.
When I go to hug one of my friends who smokes it gets me especially if its a bad day.
Like Bob I can sense it a day or so afterwards. it isnt as bad as direct exposure but it doesnt help I guess.
When I go to work, sometimes we have to go into other peoples houses. I can smell the cigarette smoke before the door is even opened, I wont go in. My colleague goes in instead, but then he stinks of cigarettes and I end up having an asthma attack when we drive home in the van
