Zantac?

I've been prescribed Zantac for a week. I have a lot of acid in my stomach which has been causing alot of pain. I was diagnosed with a duodenum ulcer a few years ago, which has come back.

Too much junk food!!!!

Being an asthmatic is this ok to take?

Thanks in advance

Zantac is fine to take though do check the leaflet inside to see if it reacts with any of the other oral medications that you take.

I used to take it years ago for gut ache caused by steroids.

I now take Zoton (Lansoprazole) which can cause some alterations in Theophylline levels if taken at the sate time - my theo is usually separated from the zoton by Breakfast!

I take Zantac (well ranitadine 150mg bd) and have had no probs with it :o)

yep its fine alot of asthmatics need some sort of ppi trreatment for relux, new reserch at mo to see which comes fist and triggers which off? acid scares lungsor asthma meds cause acid and weskened gullet muscles?

anyway not nice and dont suffer like i did as theres loads of them about so if doesnt work go back gp for altenrative.
