Hi missrandom,
Well it's not normal, and usually it is possible for most people to get quite good control of their asthma. The first thing to do is to make an appointment to see your GP or asthma nurse. Salamol is a ""reliever"" inhaler that contains salbutamol sulphate, so you may need another one to use as a preventer.
