This is a bit wierd but I'm home from uni at my parents house in Cheshire and just before 1am our house started shaking, we think it could have been an earthquake. The furniture was rattling and I could feel the floor moving as I was standing in my parents room. Did anyone else feel it?
earthquake?: This is a bit wierd but I... - Asthma Community ...
earthquake?
Looks like we were right as its on the news now:
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england...
We thought we were going mad because none of the neighbours are awake!
I was woken by the earthquake too here in the east midlands. sounded as if the boiler was about to explode!
Felt very similar to that one in 2002. No damage I hope and at least it makes a change from being woken up by breathing probs.
Anyone else felt the tremor?

I was not long home from a trip to ice skate on the outdoor rink at Leeds. Also thought I was going bonkers. I was quietly reading and winding down from the long drive home. Was sure something major had fallen down - like a ceiling or half the roof at least but that didn't explain why the bed shook. I kept telling myself I was imagining that bit, espacially as no one else in our road seemed awake. I was so pleased when the friend I had been skating with phoned me and to say it was on News 24.
Yeap was an eartquake, measured 5.2 on the ritcher scale...felt in here in Leicester..

I feel left out. I would have loved the earth to have moved for me last night, but nothing doing in Kensington.
Maybe I was just too tired to feel it.

Meh, Nothing in Ireland as usual. Wanna give us something to get excited about?
I was still up for the last earthquake (2002), and even though that only registered just over 4 on the Richter scale its epicentre was only a couple of miles away from here in Gornal (just outside Dudley) so I felt it really strongly.
This one, on the other hand, was slept through by both myself and Cathbear!
I personally did not feel the earhquake my sister-inlaw thought she had a poltergiest because her bed was shaking bless how scarey xx
hehe I got woken up by it....but then thought I'd dreamt it - and went back to sleep!
A few of my friends in York thought there was a ghost in their house or something lol. I remember the quake from 2002 and mum thinking there was a dog under the bed?! We don't have a dog!
I seem to have a knack for sleeping though them! There was one near here the other week but i slept through it. My friend woke up with this one, but thought it was her phone vibrating!
Didn't feel this one but definitely felt the one in Wales in 1989 when we lived in a 1st floor flat. Those on the ground level felt nothing.
I didn't feel it here in london, but my friends did! I slept through it =( I hope there is an aftershock during the day!
No earthquake here. Nothing cool happens on the north east coast of Scotland. All we've had were high winds, seemingly it hit 78mph on the Tay Bridge in Dundee.
