hi there am new to this sight,i was wondering if any body could help.my 7 year old son has bad asthma.they describe it as uncontrolable asthma.he had attended hospital over 60 times now.he has been admitted 11 times.on worse occasions he is on oxygen for a good few days and nebulisers.and on one occasion he had a crash team on standby at the hospital and he was give adrenelin.(very scarey time).

i put in for dla for him and i was refused it .they said that he was not sick enough.so i appealed against it and was still refused.my sons condition doesnt seem to been getting any better.he made his communion last sunday and we had a party.which involved liam running around with his friends for abit. which was followed by a sleepless night due to liam waking up 6 times unable to breathe. i had to take him to hospital the next day just for an oppointment with the asthma nurse.and only 47 %of his lungs was working.i am waiting to go to tribunal to fight for dla.is there anyone there who can help parents like myself.

Hi

Welcome to the site! DLA has been discussed a few times before, I have bumped up a couple of the threads but if you type DLA into the search box you may get some more.

Hope this helps
