sickness

my daughter is 2and half and since the last couple of weeks she has been coughing.when she coughs really hard she is sick.also i can hear her wheezing.d dr gave an inhaler and with the blue inhaler it improves her cough.i am worried she might be devloping asthma as her cousins also have it.is this one of the signs for asthama?d dr said to monitor and decrease the amount of inhaler because i been using it 3 times a day.has this happened to anyones child?please help!

only just seen your post so sorry for the delay in a response, hopefully your lil one is better by now, how is she doing?

coughing and wheezing are symptoms of asthma yes, but also a sign of viral wheeze in little ones, though in children younger. we cannot diagnose on here, only advise

does the reliever- blue inhaler help her wen she is coughing, wheezing?

i think its best you definitely go back to the gp, explain whats been going on. have alist of questions with you and explain:

does she have any allergies? maybe the gp could do some allergy testing as she may have an allergy like hayfever or dust thats making her cough + wheezy, that can be managed with anti-histamines.
