What can they give my 7yr old daughter??
Forum users are not medically trained so we can't really comment specifically on your daughter. But there are other drugs that can be added in or the preventer inhaler could be changed... also does your daughter use a peak flow meter? If not ask the GP for a prescription for one.
It might be a good idea to write a list of your concerns/questions for the GP so you dont forget anything during the appointment. Do mention the weight loss.
You dont say how long your daughter has had asthma but if it's been a while and it's not well controlled, it might be worth asking your GP for a referral to a consultant. I did this for my son when he was about 7 and the consultant was very helpful. He put my son on medication that the GP could not prescribe without a referral.
I dont know if you are new to the forum but there is a lot of useful info on asthma/allergies at the top of the page (green band All About Asthma). Good luck and I hope your daughter improves.
She's had it a few years now she does have a peak flow meter but I'm not really sure what to do with it,thankyou for your reply will find out more tomorro.
