Hi glad to hear it. My Son had one today and his class mate sat with him, they were both so chuffed that they missed 10 mins of literacy!

Kate

Shelly so glad ot hear that your sons school are doing something to help care for your son while at school with his asthma. More schools need to do this. Be more pro-active towards asthma maybe this way less children will feel ashamed, embarrassed and like a out-cast at school. Hope the plan does the trcik and your son is never left un-attended again in school while having an attack

thanks for all replies

I think my sons school got a shock and wake up call, when they heard about that little boy who died recently, after suffering appaling help when he was ill with his asthma at school. It is such a shame that someone has to lose thier life to make people realise how serious asthma is.

So hopefully things will be ok at school now.

Just got to sort out DLA now as they dropped his care allowance from high to low, !!!!!!!!! ah

That is so typical of the DWP I have been refused DLA twice know for Ryan and I also got refused myself even though I can't even walk up a flight of stairs that only has 7 steps. DWP need to come and have a day caring for our childrn then they wont say no or reduce the allowence. We won't claim for it if we didn't need it

problem with my son, is that he suffers with other problems as well as asthma. And all these problems together, makes everyday hard work. Dla say he only needs an extra hour care a day than a normal child, what a laugh, they obviously did not read his renewal form properly.

Bless him he is 13 now and fed up with all meds and creams and other medical stuff he needs, and everything takes so much longer to do now, because he whinges all the time, or has to be forced to have things done. And he tells the consultant he is fine and can cope with things, even when he is not fine. Just to get appointment over and get home quicker.

He tries his best at pe at school and usually ends up having a asthma attack, because he just wants to be the same as everyone else.

I think the DLA people assume that when you get older things get easier. Most often things get harder.

Sorry for moaning all the time, just need to rant and rave sometimes so I can keep sane lol. Thanks again for replying
