STILL COUGHING !

MY DAUGHTER IS SUFFERING A TERRIBLE DAY/NIGHT COUGH [HAS BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE OCT O7, SHES ONLY 4, SO DOCTOR GUESSING ITS ASTHMA]BEEN TO THE DOCTORS AGAIN TODAY AND HE SAID HER CHEST WASNT WHEEZY AND GAVE US ANTIBIOTICS FOR A THROAT INFECTION ! SHES ON A PREVENTOR AND RELIEVER INHALER BUT NEITHER SEEM TO WORK AND I FEEL OUR DOCTOR IS JUST NOT BOTHERED. AND I FEEL NO ONE LISTENS TO WHAT I SAY .! ANY ADVICE!

Hi Saza,

I'm really sorry to hear that your daughter is having so many problems. I don't have children myself, so it's difficult to advise, but if you are not seeing any improvement with the meds, it's definitely worth going back to your doctor again.

One little piece of house-keeping - I wonder if you'd mind taking your caps lock off? It's considered 'shouting' to post entirely in caps and it is a little bit difficult for people to read! Thanks.

Hi Saza Im sorry to hear about your daughter As has been said on other threads not all asthmatics wheeze If I were you I would go back to your GP She maybe needs a short course of steroids to calm the inflammation in her airways Having a cough all the time must be very tiring for you all and it could be a sign that her asthma isnt as well controlled as it should be I hope she will be feeling better soon Take care xx
