I sit an write this with acute sadness in my heart for my 8yr old son passed away on June 12th from a severe asthma attack.Jordons asthma had always been chronic but this was like no other attack he had before there simply was no warning no wheeze nothing. Its very hard to no what to say to you all . Anyone out there who feels they can offer support would be much appreciated. Sharron.

I just don't know what to say, as words don't seem to say enough, my heart goes out to you.Some attacks there just isn't a chance because airways close so tightly so quickly no treatment can get in.
My 10 year old Son has brittle asthma type 2, so can be perfectly well but has very severe attacks without wheeze. He goes under within minutes and needs massive amounts of medication to survive each attack. I've always known each attack could be his last and dive to his side at every attack if possible. I've now got brittle asthma and my Son has talked through his feelings about his condition as he feels he can share them now.It's heartbreaking and there is not much support out there as asthma is seen as a mild condition which we know is not always the case.So sorry if I've said the wrong things, I've just come out of hospital and am a bit out of it but wanted to reply to you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss my heart goes out to you and your family at this tragic time.
I can only partly understand your loss(my younger sister died suddenly) and i have seenthe impact it had on my Mum, i certainly dont know how i would cope if it was one of my children.
I have often seen your posts about Jordan and felt what a brave young boy -he is no longer struggling and can now breathe easy.

I would just like to add my sincere sympathy to the loss of your son. I had some pretty severe attacks as a child and spent a lot of time in hospital but I knew what was happening to me wasn't mine or anyone else's fault. It just doesn't make sense that some of us have this illness and to varying degrees than other people, but your son will have known the very best was done for him and that you loved and cared for him very deeply. Try and take that and the precious time you had together with you as your memory of him and of course we are all here for you if you want to talk further.
