Medications can be very individual. There are no set medications that a GP or consultant will prescribe. Normally they start on step one drugs such as paracetamol and naproxen, If they do not work they will prescribe 30/500mg cocodamol or tramadol and then step three opiates. If you are having issues with pain control ask your GP to refer you to a pain specialist. My wife as Psa and she was put on a opiate patch which was very effective.
