Hi there I'm 300 mg per day fo about half a year or so. And yes. It is a massive weight gain I can see. I took lods of other tablets but I have been on them for decades. That is wy I am 99 % sure it is Pregabalin. 1 % is the "age factor and miscellaneous" Label. Pregabalin IS THE VERY FIRST MEDICATION WORKS. SO NOPE I STOP IT. I have to find other options. What about you

I have been taken/weaned off pregabalin and changed to amytriptiline, since I posted this,I am on these since August 2019,as I now have diabetes and the Pregabalin was effecting blood sugar levels

Hi Carly I’m also on pregablin. And weight gain etc swollen ankles but it’s a very difficult drug to come off iv been on it for over 8 years now I desperately want to get off it but tried in the past really terrible withdrawals to be honest doctor not bothered and looking back that’s where a lot of my problems really started . I was originally given them for lower back pain and over the years my arthritis etc has gotten worse so I’m at loss really what to do for the best

I am off pregabalin since August 2019 and had to be weaned off.I am now on Amytriptiline for pain and have lost 3 stone 8 pounds, but I still have about another 7 stone to loss.I don’t find the Amytriptiline make my ankles swell etc.Not the same side effects, although they do leave me groggy in the morning, but I can’t have everything.I was only changed to Amytriptiline because of Diabetes,Pregabalin not good for Diabetics
