I have arthritis in my spine and neck,my arms ache and feel weak and my shoulders ache too.My main concern though is my legs,I have pain in my left hip, both calves are painful and my knees ache.I find it uncomfortable to walk far as it feels as though I'm wading through treacle.Unfortunately I have had to leave my job because of these problems and other health issues and as such I feel a tad peeved.(that's me being polite)On the up side though,,,,,,I'm still breathing,so it's not all bad.😉.

Aching legs
Have you done any research on Fibro ? Checked on the side effects of the / if any drugs you are taking ?
Hi dave
You say you have arthritis in your spine, it that your lower lumbar region? Have you had your hips xrayed or MRI. Reason I ask, I have severe osteoarthritis in my left hip, moderate in my right, plus moderate in lower spine and 2 herniated discs L4 and L5. I am waiting to see the surgeons in August.
Anyway, my main problem has been my legs, from my groin to my knees and sometimes my calves and shins. The pain has been so bad, my gp has now given me morphine patches. I'm also on gabapentin and Cocodamol 30/500 x 4 a day. The gp says the leg pain is actually referred pain from my hips and spine. Wherever it's from, it's bloody excruciating pain. I've only been on the patches for nearly a week and they do seem to be helping, gp says she will increase to dose until late the pain is more manageable.
Hope this helps and I hope you get sorted.
Keep breathing lol
Best wishes
Judi
The arthritis is in my lower spine and I have cervical spondylosis (neck)X rays of hips showed only wear and tear.Because of several other medical issues,(dizzy spells, erratic blood pressure, copd and anxiety)my doctor put my leg problem down to stress. Now of course I'm even more stressed as I've lost my job and my mother died only last month,I'll need time to de-stress and see if things improve. If not its more trips to the docs for me.Time will tell.
Hmmmmmm, I also suffer with anxiety and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over 10 years ago. It's very easy for gp's to put every complaint down to stress/anxiety or, in my case, fibromyalgia.
It may be worth you pushing for a rheumatology appointment who are the only ones to diagnose fibro. Not saying you have it, but it's worth ruling out.
I wish you well
