~ please help me. I broke my spine 2 years ago ( T5 vertical fracture) and now my pain has returned tenfold.

My pain started to become unmanageable about 6 weeks ago but I have a son with special needs who is not in school so I couldn't go to the doctors.

The pain I am in is extreme. I feel like my back is on fire and feel like my rib cage is crushing me.

On Saturday evening my husband got an out of hours doctor out who was lovely and prescribed me lidocaine patches and oralmorph.

I had Junvinelle arthritis through childhood.

My pain is radiating into my legs and down my arms and my strength in my arms and hands is extremely week.

I can't go into hospital as I have my children to look after, I am 39.

My GP is calling me tomorrow.

Does anyone know of any other meds I can take please? I'm very allergic to anti immflams.

Does anyone else have this happen after a spinal fracture? Any advice would be very grateful.

Thanks.

I am allergic to lots of pain meds I wear patches and top them up when necessary with Tramadol. You need to see your doc Asaph it will make you feel better

Thanks for the reply.

I have a doctors appointment this Friday. I'm finding the lidocaine patches are sort of pushing the pain downwards into both of my legs :( is this normal?

The Oralmorph is working for about 2 hours.

I have been under a lot of stress of late, I'm just praying that my GP is as understanding as the locum I saw.

I can't continue with this pain, it's really getting to me and my mobility is incredibly poor.

Yet again thanks for the reply :)

Keep your chin up I am sure your doc will find a way to help. I don't know if you were told there are Pain management clinics on the nat health I have found them very helpful in helping me to understand and manage my pain levels. Ask if there is one near you. Good luck
