Just curious if anyone gets a weird feeling/sign/symptom before their arrhythmia starts? The doctors believe I have some form of SVT. Been trying to catch it for years. But after many failed attempts at event recorders etc they finally put in an implantable loop recorder.
I was diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia back in 2018 after having a EP study done. But things have gotten worse since then.
I will have episodes of trigeminy that will come on out of nowhere and last for hours and then just randomly stop.
But this past year I’ve been having episodes shortly after waking up where my heart rate spikes. I’ve even had it happen while sleeping.
But every time it happens I get this weird sensation in my chest first then a PVC and then the high heart rate will start.
I’m just curious if anyone else experiences something similar.
I went to the ER Wednesday for severe abdominal pain and they ended up admitting me because my heart rate was steadily 125 bpm and my WBC was all funky so they feared infection somewhere. I was admitted to the cardiac ICU unit. While there I had 3 episodes of my heart racing. Each time was after I woke up from taking a nap. My heart raced between 140 & 150 bpm. They didn’t do an ecg but on the monitor it looked like sinus tachycardia. But each time it happened I felt the weird feeling in my chest immediately followed by a PVC and then the high heart rate.
It takes between 20 min to an hour for my heart rate to return back to normal. Anxiety has been ruled out since it will also happen while I’m sleeping and will wake me up.
I will be having a sleep study done this coming Monday to see if I possibly have sleep apnea that could be triggering an arrhythmia.
