Just after a bit of advice. I am now 6 weeks post ablation- first four weeks I was doing really well. Last 2 weeks heart rate has jumped to between 115 and 120 bpm and that is for most of the day. It occasionally goes down to 80ish bpm. Also have a cold which isn't helping. My arrhythmia nurse is away and my GP isn't much help. Is the increased heart rate normal?
I am still on bisoprolol, ramipril, eplerenone, Furosemide and rivaroxaban.
Any thoughts?

Wish I had something helpful to say. Sorry you're going through this. I just don't have any experience with exactly what you're going through. Well maybe I do. When I was going through dealing with Afib, where my heart rate was 150 bpm, they found my potassium and magnesium were low. In fact after they gave me magnesium via the IV and oral potassium tablets, my heart rate went back to a normal sinus rhythm with in a few minutes. They said that had nothing to do with it. However since adding back my magnesium, calcium, VIt D3 and potassium supplements to my normal daily routine, I have not had any more problems with it and was able to stop taking the diltiazem. My cardiologist told me I was free to stop the medication at anytime with no concerns and then I could use it on an as needed basis. So you may want to see if your minerals are low.
Hi All - thank you for all of your advice. Just to let you know I am going in to hospital on Wednesday to have a cardioversion. Arrhythmia nurses felt this was best course of action as historically my heart does not deal well with prolonged periods of high bpm. Fingers crossed this will resolve problem and I can then resume my ablation recovery.
