I have been reading a book about PPP in Victorian times.

In it there are several references to Peuperal Melancholia.

I was wondering if anyone else is aware of this.

It seems to fit my symptoms

Hi Poulson

Melancholia is the old fahioned word for depression. I had a depressive psychosis as well.

I think all the evidence is that PP occurs in all times and all cultures - and yet always takes people by surprise.

What is the title/ author of the book you are reading? I don't think I've come across it.
