I've just found out that our first round of IVF was successful, so I'm very early on (4w3d), but I have my booking in appointment with my private obstetrician in two weeks. Just wondering when people were put in touch with the psych teams?

How soon were you contacted by the perinatal psychiatry team in your hospital?
Never. Get the doctor to refer you. When I was finally put in touch at 38 weeks, the MBU couldn’t believe I hadn’t previously been referred. 🙂
Hi Kokoraki,
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I notice that you're in Australia? Because APP is based in the UK I'm afraid I don't know quite how things work there. I suggest you ask when you next have an appointment, and be proactive about getting that support.
I hope you can get the support you need, and that the pregnancy goes well. Don't hesitate to write here anytime.

Hello Kokoraki
Good to hear from you. Congratulations on your pregnancy !
On Facebook there’s an online community “Mama Tribe” in Australia, partnered with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) which helps mums meet other mums in their local area. So perhaps this might be a helpful contact?
We are always here across the miles too Take care ... stay safe.
Hi Kokoraki,Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am not sure how things will be in Australia but I would get in contact with your GP or obstetrician and ask them to refer you. I think it will be relevant for any professional seeing you during your pregnancy to be aware of your risks, so the sooner the better. Take care and hope you get some rest these first weeks
Four weeks is early are taking meds is this why your worried?
Hello Kokoraki
I hope you are well and that your appointment with your obstetrician soon is helpful and reassuring. I wonder if you have connected with the Mama Tribe in Australia for additional support? Thinking of you .... take care.
