I have spoken to the receptionist at my GP's today and she has arranged for me to see a doctor on the 5th of March to discuss a second opinion. She has put in my notes to be referred to Dr Ian Jones of Cardiff University. I have also got my journal to send along with my notes, as most of what has been said about me in my notes is a load of rubbish.
I will keep you posted.

I know that you feel complex ptsd is the more accurate diagnosis for yourself? I think the second opinion psychiatrist service specialises more in pp, bipolar and mood disorders so I’m not sure if you feel it will be that helpful? Perhaps it would be more helpful to see if you can be referred to a trauma specialist?
wishing you well on your path. My experience with Professor Ian Jones was very helpful.
I suffered PTS and was diagnosed with BP1.
I do believe Ellie has got a point. Mental Health has such a wide spectrum and one has to differentiate maybe, which continuous MH challenges are triggered by PPP or whether the individual has dispositions without any hormonal effects due to birth.
A real tricky one, but at the end you've got to do what feels right for you. Recovery is a personal journey. It is your voice and your choice.
