Did anyone get midwifery only care

I think it would be entirely individual to the person and only your own team would be able to advise. What works for one person is not always possible for another so talking to your own team would be the best source of advice xx hope fully there will be people on here who can advise if they managed with just a midwife.

I only had midwifery care post-partum and I think that's partly why I ended up so very manic/psychotic and needing hospitalization. I think if I had been under the care of a psychiatrist as well, they would have been more likely to catch early warning signs my midwife missed. She was wonderful, and I had excellent pre and post natal care, but the mental health stuff just wasn't really her scope of practice. I think the more helpful professionals you can have lined up pre and post partum, the better. Hope that's helpful.
