Conceiving on seroquel

Does anyone have experience of planning to conceive on seroquel. My doc is recommending 300mg...im concerned about teratogenic effects. Anyone have experience of making this decision??

Yes I do , I stayed on 300mg while trying to conceive and when I was pregnant, my little boy is 2 yrs in Feb 😊 All went perfect, in the maternity hospital I saw Pysc he was great, he said I might of even need to increase my dose cause when your pregnant it dilutes down but I didn't need to and he said it was ok to breast feed but I made the decision not to I needed my sleep to keep well and my partner was great at helping with night feeds ..hope this help and good luck 😊

Thanks for your reply Warfield. It's very reassuring. Great to hear all went so smoothly. I'm finding it hard to make the decision re taking Meds so it's very helpful to hear your experience

I was put on seroquel at about 6-8 weeks and everything is fine baby is great no birth defects at all I conceived on anti depressants anxiety meds and Latuda because it was an unplanned pregnancy. Best of luck !

I am on 150mgs and weaning down for conception my Gp wanted me to stay on, but then I saw a different Gp can not wait to be a mum!!! we start in March trying I have pcos so I am hoping for a natural birth

So you got conflicting advice from 2 GPs? Are you staying on 150mg or weaning off entirely? Best of luck with everything. I'm hoping to try for baby 2 approx March too. Nervously excited
